My mom has Stage IV pancreatic cancer and had CyberKnife procedure back in Jun08. We are so blessed to have her with us but she has experienced horrible pain in her bowel & stomach and has ongoing problems with diarrhea and can no longer eat normal foods without extreme pain after.
The doctors believe this is from the radiation. She is taking high doses of pain killers but I want to see if there is any help post radiation damage to this area? or is it just the side effect and that is something that can not change. She is trying to eat a healthy diet but food in general is so hard on her and the result is severe pain after.
Any suggestions other than more pain meds.?

I am sorry for your mom's pain, I wish I had some good advice to give. I was wondering when was your mom diagnosed and how soon after did she have cyberknife. Did your mom do chemo first?
thank you for the information. I had looked into ck for my dad, but they made us do chemo first, and then he wasn't in shape to do anything else.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad.
My mom was diagnosed New Years Eve 2007 and in April 08 she started chemo and in June she had CK. The following spring 09 she started chemo again. I wish you and your dad the best, this is really hard and I know what your going through.
