I am 70yrs old and have been on Tamoxifen for four and a half years.
Never before have I found such a good site to air my worries.
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer at the age of 66yrs.
I thought that I had a nervious breakdown, shaking and wanting my Mum.
So I have been taking Citalopram Anti-Anxiety 40mgs a Day.
Also I took six months in Therapy.... But, I still feel that the Tamoxifen
caused me to have feelings for the same sex...(women) and not to allow
any man to stand too close to me, in case we were to touch!
I was happily married - and I do not understand these hormone changes?
Can anyone please, please let me know if they have experienced the
same sensations....I almost lost a very dear woman friend, my cousin's
widow....She still looks at me in a strange way...and says we all loose
our female hormones as we get older..... I do, in fact, LOVE being feminine....ejl
