Hi robinwilliams31

So sorry to hear of your sisters plight. This is going to be a very tough fight for her but it is one she can win. Stage 4 is difficult to beat but people do it all the time so there is hope. The chemo is tough and will knock her around a bit, but success stories for stage 4 HL are common enough to give you all some hope.

We are always here to help and I wish good luck for your sister.

Hi, and I'm sorry to hear about your sis.........

There's another guy in this forum who was diagnosed with stage 4, and sounds similar to your sister's. He was in a coma when diagnosed and his lungs were covered, but guess what? He is now in remission. You can see one of his posts here http://cancerforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=13397 His name is Badri. Just take a look. You can find all posts by him if you click on his profile button at the bottom of his post.

Good luck and stay positive.

Hi Robin,

I am the one Aisha has mentioned in her message. I was in Stage IV and after six rounds of Chemo I am back to near normal. In fact I just came back to India from a trip to Africa for a sales presentation for my firm. The trip included six flights and delays ranging up six hours at the airport. My body has been able to take all that.

I am hopeful that in a few weeks from now, we will read about your sisters success story too. Ask her to remain positive and treat this disease as a scar on the skin (which you normally dont bother much about). This is what I was told and today after about a year it is really becoming a distant memory.

Wishing your sister all the best with the treatment. She may find some inconveniences as a side effect of the chemo drugs but those will not last long and remind her that everybody needs to face them and remain positive and the day is not far off when she will win.

All the very best. You will find all the support here.

Regards
