I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April after several smear tests over the past 2 and a half yrs. I am only 22 yrs old. I have since had my cervix removed followed by a radical hysterectomy followed by chemotherapy, radiotherapy and brachytherapy.
My treatment finished last week and I'm so sore down below, I go to the toilet every 15 mins and its just drips that come out ... at night I am peeing my bed
Has anyone else had these symptoms ... please let me know!!! I need to know how long they last. I can't go outside cos i need to run to the toilet every ten mins or so and I cant even stay at my friends house or have a friend stay at mines because i pee the bed EVERY nite.

Hi Gillian,
I am so sorry you are going through this right now. I understand how much it sucks to go through this at such a young age. I was diagnosed when I was 20. Feel free to email or PM if you want to talk.
But I had the same symptoms after my surgery. It was so embarrassing because I couldn't stop pee from constantly dripping out. I had to make my dad get overnight sized pads to help with the pee. I remember being really irritated because he said I should go get them myself because he wouldn't know which ones to get. I was like "I can't stop leaking! I can't go!" For me, this kept going for 3 days before it finally stopped. My aunt who is a nurse said it was because my muscles weren't working right to keep my bladder from gong all the time, but it did eventually stop.
If this keeps going on, I suggest talking to your gyno or your oncologist.

How long ago did you talk to your doctors? Do they know it has been going on for this long?
It don't think you should still be having this issue after 3 weeks. I'll pull out the old medical books and do a little research. _________________ Stage 1B1 Adenosquamous Carcinoma of the Cervix.

Hi gillian,
haven't gotten the chance to go through my books yet, but i am going to give you a little advice my dad gives me. "The squeaky wheel gets the oil."
Keep calling your doctors. Ask if there is a possibility of infection. Ask if there are any exercises you can do to try to strengthen your muscles. For some reason your muscles holding your bladder have not returned to their full state. I don't want to give you any bad thoughts, but maybe your muscles haven't recovered yet from the surgery and anesthesia.
For me personally, I lost feeling in my right upper thigh and the right side of my groin area. It's not completely numb but there is a significant loss of feeling.
Thing sometimes happen. Keep bothering them until you get an answer.
Hoping the pee stops, Rockstar _________________ Stage 1B1 Adenosquamous Carcinoma of the Cervix.
