today went to see mum, she was laying on sofa with pounding head and severe lower back pain, the nurse who visited her thos morning apparently told her to take co codamol and not the oralmorph
she says headaches are like from way back when she had to have steroids for pressure behind her eyes
but her back is like a stabbing throbbing pain when she moves, its ok when she is sitting or laying once she has got herself comfy
ive told her if it dont get better to call doc and get someone out for home visit and if they dont agree to demand it as she cannot walk too far without falling
could it be the affects of the infection that knocked her out, she was thrashing and delerious for a fair while so maybe banged her back,
i asked her if she hurt her back when she fell in hospital and she said she didnt, possible bruising even though she didnt hurt her self
i feel this fight is nearing the end and its killing me to see her like this
she has lost weight due to poor appatite but this has been slow over a few months
i still cannot sleep at night......im scared something will happen and i wont hear the phone

(((((((((((Mandy and your mum))))))))))))

Sweetie, I am so sorry for what you are going through with your mom. I hope that the doctor will come to see her and determine what is going on with her. SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SUFFER REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE! And you may need to push this issue Mandy.

You are her advocate and her voice. Know that I am praying for both of you.

thanks MnDixie
we have pinpointed the back problem, she had a fall in hospital on 11th november and was just taken back to her bed and not checked over, i have contacted a medical negligance site regarding this and am waiting on a reply, she was given a quick check by prospect nurse and she was shocked she was not checked after the fall allso went to see her doctor who said she has bady banged the bottom of her back he too was disgusted she was not checked
i didnt think much of it until i was chatting to my cousin who is a nurse and she said she should have been checked over and a form filled out.........none of this was done as i was at the hospital all day
im fuming over it as mum has been in severe pain and it has affected her walking sitting standing and sleeping, she allmost in tears at times when she tries to move and i feel helpless seeing her like it
we are seeing oncologist today and mum has finally agreed to let me attend appoinments as i do a lot of research on the net and am fed up of being fobbed off
eg: cyberknife.....i told mum to mention this and her oncologist said no point as it only treats small tumors, further looking into it they will treat large tumors but success rate may not be as high
mum has allso agreed for me to have copies of diagnosis ect so i can look further into things
i will not let cancer beat us there are options out there for her its just getting people to agree to it and give the referal we are wanting
