I am hoping that someone has experienced this before and can give us some suggestions. My brother was diagnosed with EC this fall. They felt they caught it fairly early and he had an Endoscopic Esophageal Dissection to remove part of the cancerous tissue. They plan to go back later and get the rest. The major problem right now is horrible esophageal spasms. They are making it impossible for him to eat and sometimes talk. He is living - if you call it that - on about 400 calories a day because that is all he can get down. So far we are getting no answers or solutions. I am not sure if an Esophagectomy would be a solution. Can anyone help?

Sometime it becomes very important that we have to consult with the best doctors as, endoscopy can be be done, but some time it does not proves to be good and it gives you bad results as, it happened in my family with one of my member.


So, it is better to go for proper medication and tests, keep some other options too. which is beneficial for you.
