Hello, I am looking for some support for myself. There are so many strong people on this forum. Dealing with harsh situations and even death. I wonder if I should be as bold as to ask for support in my situation.
I have had 5 surgical procedures for extremely painful TMJ difficulties from 2000-2002. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2005, two surgical lumpectomies 1 week apart, I have been through dose dense chemo therapy, lost my hair not to mention the sick feeling , radiation therapy 5 days a week. I finished these treatments in late October. 10 days later I am experiencing unwarranted vaginal bleeding. (unwarranted because at 40 yrs young chemo put me into menopause) I return to onco, they send me to gynecologist, I now have to have a D&C procedure done this week because my uterus is enlarged and tilted. Dr. does not want to put this procedure off until later date.
I was very strong through all of my treatments this summer/fall but I have to say my " stone wall exterior has turned to glass and the glass is cracking". Any advice or support would be graciously appreciated.
God bless and be well...
In need, Jill

Hi Jill,

You asked, "I wonder if I should be as bold as to ask for support in my situation." Of course you should!

I guess some people come here for clinical information and advice (and there's nothing wrong with that) but I don't. I'm here to support and be supported. I care about the people here, not the disease. I leave that to my doctors. There's other's here who are the same way. We care, very much.

I have cancer too but I'm not going to say that I know what you're going through because I haven't been through anywhere near as much as you. So far I've been able to maintain a fairly normal life. I'm certain that if I had endured what you've been through my glass would be cracking too. There's only so much any of us can take on our own and that's why we need each other. Today I'm strong and able to give but tomorrow, who knows? I may need you to be here for me. That's the way this thing works.

Together we can do what we could never do alone.

Dear marks,
THANKS..I needed that and I totally agree with you on using this forum for support. I can get so much out of reading other posts and replies. Sometimes I can offer a little help, other times I can get comforted, there are times that I just start crying from some of the situations.
"Together we can do what we could never do alone" ...This is so true.
I have a scheduled D&C procedure on Tuesday, praying for good results.
I hope all is well with you.
Jill

Dear Friends,

This is the type of support that I always hoped would happen here when I created these forums. So thanks to both of you, for asking for help and for supporting others. As you know, I try to be here whenever I can, but my other commitments do not always allow me to.

Jill, I hope everything goes well next Tuesday. Let us know (of course if you so wish).

best regards,
Dr Leo F

LEO,
Don't be silly ...the thanks goes to YOU!!
I have used this forum for so much support and information it has helped me in so many ways. I appreciate the fact that this forum exists. Other forums I have visited do not compare to this one. the knowledge that YOU supply is also comforting. (usually)
I will keep you posted on my results.
Thanks again, Jill

I wish I had more time to spend here. I feel guilty sometimes because I respond to some posts and not to others. I'd like to be able to respond to them all but I just can't.

I'll be praying for you too Jill.
