Hi Guile,

I'm not medically qualified to tell you anything, but I do have 3 years experience. My Doctor told me right from the beginning that he could help me, but he couldn't cure me. I've also heard of people who claim to be cured.

In my case I had 4-1/2 month chemo (on a 3 week cycle). At the end CT-Scans showed me greatly improved but Pet Scans confirmed that I still had cancer in my neck and in my groin.

I talked it over with my doctor and we mutually agreed that I'd had about all the chemo I could take for the present. The best advice he could give me was the old wait and see thingie.

I get a CT-Scan every 90 days and it does show my condition differing. This past November I took 4 straight weeks of mild chemo.

The next CT showed some improvement, but my Dr has already alerted me to the fact that I may have to go back on the nasty, hair falling out, stuff this spring.

Don't let my experience discourage you. If your doctor thinks things are under control they very well may be, but in my case I know it will continue coming back.

Get yourself otherwise healthy. Build up your immune system. Start exercising. Eat healthy. Keep a positive mood. Build up a support system. Develop a mantra that you repeat to yourself nightly, something like good air in, bad cells out.

Feel free to ask any questions
