hello people,
At the moment i am in my final year at university, and for my final radio project i am wanting to do a piece which on cancer. This has affected my families life, which is why i wanted to do apiece on the positives, and also the negatives, but give a real insight into real peoples lifes! It will not be broadcast on the air, it will only be marked as an educational piece. If you could share with me your story, both the good and the bad, and also anything you may think would be worth while looking at, as to be honest i havent had much look in finding out true information.

Thanks for posting. I'm sure some people will e-mail you, it seems that you'd like real-life stories rather than cancer facts.

As this is a public and anonymous forum, I encourage people to post here, so we can discuss and contribute to the topic !

Hi Nicola,
One good thing or positive thing is, when you or a loved one is diagnosed with this horrible disease, it forces you to look at life different. A few examples are, appreciateing the little things more, not being in such a hurry all the time, takeing better care of yourself, telling the people you love and care about, that you love and care about them, dont sweat the small stuff!!!!
Its sad that it usually takes something as terrible as cancer to help us to realize just how precious life really is. And when someone you love is diagnosed, you realize this very fast. Hey, maybe thats another good thing!
