Hello all;
My wife's name is Cathy. Yesterday she went out to look for wigs and was disappointed because most of the artificial hair ones are made of acrilic and she is allergic to that.
Tomorrow is the big day: chemo at 8:30, a radiologist consult at 1pm and a chemo info class from 2 to 4pm.
Our first grandchild is due sometime over the next 2 weeks so we are praying our daughter delivers when Cathy feels well enough to go, before the 2nd chemo.
Blessings,

Hi Pastor Rich,
I just wanted to wish Cathy good luck with starting her chemo tomorrow. We "chemo vets" (LOL) are ready and willing to dispense tips/advice to Cathy if she needs it.
Here is a good site for headcovers she might be interested in perusing: www.headcovers.com They have lots of scarves, hats and other things she might be interested in.
Sending good thoughts to you and Cathy,
Margie |

Dear Pastor Rich:
What a relief it must be to finally have a plan. You and Cathy will be in my prayers and hope that her chemo is going as smoothly as mine. Hopefully, she will be feeling strong for the birth of your grandchild. You have been so great getting your ducks in a row and now you will have a new baby to bring much happiness during this most difficult, stressful time. Blessings, Sharon |

Hi Sharon;
The chemo day was a very busy day. There was chemo, a radiologist consult, and chemo/nurtition class.
The radiologist said that when the chemo and radiation is complete, Cathy would have only about a 10% chance of recurrance. That was great news to hear.
She had some nausea that evening, so we prayed and I asked my Catholic friends on a Catholic website to pray and that was the end of the nausea. God is very good. It hasn't come back and this is the 3rd day. Cathy has trouble sleeping because all the water she is drinking is making her pee.......
So we are now waiting for our grandchild to be born before the next chemo on Dec 10th.
One down, five to go!
Blessings,
