Karen, I do not have colon cancer, so I cannot specifically address your situation. However, in general, many people with many types of cancer do recover and live healthy, normal lives. My grandmother had breast cancer in her 60s. She dried when she was 93 of a non cancer related disease… heart attack.

As to specifics about colon cancer, I would ask it to the people who follow the colon cancer thread.

An answer to your question, yes there is someone who is cancerfree after colon cancer treatment, my father.

A little over 2 years ago, when I was 17, my father was diagnosed with colon cancer. He was operated on November 5th 2003 (my 18th birthday), luckily the doctor was able to remove all the cancer cells. Life has returned to normal, my dad is back to his healthy self. All his tests have returned normal to this day.

I hope this helps
Megan
