My father has invasive bladder cancer and (believe it or not) has refused any treatment. He is even refusing to have regular doctor checkups. He is on 30mg of morphine a day (administered through hospice). My question is this, can you give any idea approximately how long he will live?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sorry about your father. Predicting survival is not only difficult, but it will probably create unrealistic expectations, so most doctors opt to not give numbers, as it's likely to be wrong. I think if he has opted for hospice, the best he and the family can do is to try to get the most of the time he has left. Hospice usually does a very good job at making people comfortable and trying to relieve the symptoms as best as they can.
