Hello, I'm new to this forum as I just found it the other day. Never thought I would need a support group or ever have PC, but here I am.

My brother died from metastatic PC in February 2009 and I was diagnosed with PC 5 weeks ago. Due to my brother's quick demise I am very concerned. My PSA level was 7.1 and biopsy showed 9 of 12 cores positive. Gleason 6 (3+3) and 7 (3+4). Bone scans and CT scans were mostly negative; however, they found a lone hotspot on one rib. The Dr. does not think it has spread, but you never know do you?

I am having the robotic surgery tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. in Houston.

Since diagnosed with PC, I now have all kinds of symptoms, but I think most are probably just arthritis. Nothing like having PC to turn one into a hypochondriac about every pain.

Thanks for this board. I'll lend support once I'm through this episode tomorrow.
Smile
