As I write this my brother is on his way to get a biopsy of two places on his spine. He is 36 and we are scared to death. He has a couple spots on his brain and a couple on his Lung. He was told if the biopsy of the spine shows cancer there is nothing the Doctors can do for him. He is so young. I have heard that usually death will occur in 6 months or so after diagnosis.

Does anyone know about this. Is it from diagnosis or from the time he got sick in February.

Hello

Sorry to hear about your brother. Usually statistics measure survival from the time of diagnosis.

best regards,
Leo

Two centers might be helphul National Instutite of Health(NIH) in Maryland and the Cancer Center in Houston, I believe its called the MC Anderson cancer center. They both have active research centers, look under clinical trials and watch for stage/ level 3. At the later levels the patients get the actual drug. You can do self refferals for family over the phone. If accepted, the treatment is generally FREE. Best of luck
