| I posted earlier that her time was coming quickly. Theres been a small change and the doctors are now saying 5 days. I am just so confused and need someone to talk to. She was normal until yesterday then she fell. After the fall she rested woke up and could not stop throwing up she was also unable to walk and now a prognosis of only a couple of days. Does this sound familiar to anyone for this to happen so quickly?! They had found water in her brain a couple weeks ago but didnt seem concerned enough to do anything immediately. help |

Hi,
I'm sorry that things are moving quickly. This can and does happen. Despite an overall decline, my husband spiraled very quickly with his lung cancer beginning on a Wednesday night and he passed on that Friday night. He was lucid until 8 hours before he passed.
I wish you peaceful times with your loved one. Treasure the moments.
Many hugs and God be with you,

Amen! Cancer does suck eggs.
Be brave -- even though I know you may be frightened out of your wits. I sure was because it came so fast that I was overwhelmed and couldn't comprehend that this WAS the end.
We end up doing okay for their sake before the bottom falls out.
You're right --- they go on to live in the promised Paradise with our Lord while we struggle on without them. That's later -- so stay in the present.
We're here for you.
Warm hugs of understanding and prayers for Peace,

So some funny things have happened since she was admitted early tues morning but good things none the less. All through out tues she was in a coma making no response to anyone. Wed her breathing had slowed to only 4-6 times a minute. She was opening her eyes and moving her hands but the breathing was the scary part. Today was amazing she was talking and not talking non sense at all her breathing was up to 12-16 a minute. She was holding full conversations it was incredible. So PLEASE PLEASE pray that this could be a miracle i am still being careful about not being to optimistic but can't help but smile a little too. |

m630, the doctors do what they do best with cancer, miss diagnose and blow their predictions, they are as god at predicting the future as Obama is. And he has lost every bet so far that I've heard him make. Anyway thier efforts are really a thing of pure comedy.

m630,
Your good news is so joyous to hear! And yes, Jesus is still in the miracle business, through the healing power granted to him by our Heavenly Father. So, on this horrible roller coaster ride that we are all on, enjoy these good days, thank God for these good days, and pray and have faith that more good days are to come! God is so good!
My mom was very sick in the hospital for nearly a month after her initial diagnosis of Stage IV lung cancer. One doctor said she may have one month to live and recommended that we sign a DNR. I prayed, encouraged my Mom, prayed some more, she got stronger and started chemo, prayed some more, she came home from the hospital, prayed some more, now here we are, nearly one year later...
I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers! Pray without ceasing...

| Thank you think pink!! your words are so kind and hopeful! Today she took a walk and is working with physical therapy. They are continuing radiation and hopefully it's working. We figured out that what put her in the hospital was a black out she had one at chemo and they said it was normal? Then had one during the day took a nap and had a violent one that night that sent her to the hospital. The docs said only a couple days because the lesions in her brain had doubles as well as water in the brain? This is all so confusing but the good news is radiation was started immediatly and she seems brighter and is able to do more everyday. Also has been eating full meals! |
