Advice needed

Hi, I'm a 26 year old male that is quite worried because I just spitted out mucus with a little blood in it. Over the pass 4-5 years, I've sneezed out mucus with a little blood in them (like once or twice a year). But this is the first time I spitted it out. I've already approached my family doctor last year and took chest Xrays and nothing was found. Should I approach my doctor again and request further diagnosis?

Let me provide a little bit more information about myself. At the age of 18 I underwent a jaw operation surgery. The surgeon also made some cosmetic adjustments to areas around my nose (Sorry I really don't know how to explain what the changes are exactly). Since then, I began sneezing out bloody mucus (with little blood) once or twice a year. I also do not drink or smoke.

Talk to your doctor if you are ocncerned. it is his/her job to address your concerns. It doesn't sound like it is serious, but I know it can be scary to cough up blood. Just to be safe, ask your doc.

Hi fesodes,

I think isidella is right. It does not sound like anything you should be scary about. Pleural mesothelioma got this symptoms but there you will cough up blood (no mucus with a little blood, I think) and you'll maybe get a dyspnea (shortness of breath). But I'm no doctor. So better call your doctor. Or maybe other members have got mor information?!
