Garbell...have you done a DOGPILE or GOOGLE search yet? The very first website that came up told me:

Causes of blood in stool range from harmless, annoying conditions of the gastrointestinal tract such as hemorrhoids to serious conditions such as cancer. Blood in the stool should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

As anxious as I'm sure you are, you need to see a doctor. Usually, the answer is a disease that is easily treatable, and if the prognosis is more serious, at least you can start treatments before it's too late.
I also will put off seeing a doctor but when your instincts tell you something is just not right..DON'T hesitate!
