I have been having horrible feelings of what is similar to heartburn...constant burnig/irritation from my stomache to throat and not to be gross, but even vomiting foam
I thought I might be developing an ulcer but from what information I've read, I would feel better for awhile after eating.
Well eating aggravates it even more (I am not losing any weight though)
I smoke about 10 cigarettes a day, drink occaionally, and eat a fairly well healthy diet... (no sugar/sweets,lots of salads, chicken ,water ..but garlic almost daily)
Tums aren't helping anymore. I have family history of cancer of lungs, colon, esophagus, liver, and uterus.
Am I being over anxious? this has been getting progressively worse over the past 6 weeks
I hesitate seeing a doctor because A) I don't have one B) I don't have health coverage C) I don't want to look like a fool to find it 's a common nuisance
I appreciate ANY response of advice. It's really starting to interfere with my daily life rotine |

My sister 60 years old said the same thing. She didn't have insurance..
She was diagnosed with cancer 4-27 and died on 6-11-05. Don't mess around just because you don't have insurance. See a doctor. Good luck and God Bless.
I care |

Hi Tilliewillie,
I am in similar situation as you. Since two years I have digestion problems, strong rash and fatigue. During this time I was trying to find a doctors advice. It was waste of time and money. Since one month I have strange pain in the stomach which somehow can go to different directions shoulder, heart. I gues it is cancer. The biggest problem is fatigue. I can hardly work. BUT!! I still can walk. I do not want to start this miserable life in hospital, doctors visit, hopes etc. When I read about all this stories with different operation, theraphies ect, I prefer to refrain from it. It is not life. When the wave of fatigue comes over me, I feel that this body does not want to live anymore, it does not need anything. Why should I force it? Even when I was healthy life was full of sorrow. Of coarse you should go to the doctor, but stay alert. You know I am afraid only when I come to the doctors, because they can do horrible things to my body. Good luck! Sergei, Estonia |

Hi Sergei
sorry for the long delay in replying. I haven't been feeling well and haven't been on the computer much.
I did finally see a doctor..at a clinic..who suggested I had some form of cancer and to see a pulmonary specialist.
He decided I do in fact have an ulcer and the medication he gave me has helped me to start eating again...but nothing else has changed. I can not stop coughing and am so exhausted and weak I haven't been able to work for almost 4 months.
However some of my blood work concerned him and I am now undergoing more extensive blood work to rule out lymphoma.
I see the doctor again Friday and hopefully will hear some encouraging news..no matter what it is. Just need to find out what's going on and get some relief.
One good thing..my not working made me eligible for health care.
Please see a doctor no matter how afraid you are of the thoughts of what you will have to do to feel better.
Most days I feel I would be better off dying but somehow the will to live overcomes it..no matter what it takes. |
