My husband got his PSA results which were done 2 weeks after radical prostatectomy.. His results are .12 Does anyone have any input into this.Does it mean he still has cancer...

Usually they wait at least 2 months before checking, 2 weeks is really too soon for all the PSA to leave the blood stream. Over all anything less than .2 is good.

Saw urologist today and he says the psa results were taken too soon.. need to wait another 2 months but even so .12 is coming down.. Dont know why he told us to take a psa after getting out of hospital and before seeing him today..
