Hey Debbie,
it seems 2 me that ur body has had a slight reaction 2 the ct scan and is probably nothing 2 worry bout coz i think that a lot of people do get all sorts of different reactions 2 them. But im no doctor and u should probably get a professional opinion about it because atleast then they can give u something 2 settle it down.
anyway hope u feel better soon

Hey Shanelle,
My husband made me call the Dr. and he thinks it is a reaction to the antibiotic I am on for the lymph node in my neck. The antibiotic is not doing anything to the node any way so he took me off of it. I have never had a reaction to a antibiotic before and I have been on it for 9 days and NOW I have a reaction...... go figure! I dunno. I still think it was from the iodine in the IV for the CT. But you know what do I know.... Any way thanks again for replying. Hope all is well with you.

I was given penicillin when I had mono because they thought it was an infection at first. I broke out in a full body rash, I mean it was everywhere. Apparently I am allergic to penicillin. It could be a reaction to the antibiotic like the doctor said. I don’t remember how long after taking the medicine that the rash appeared, but I know reactions like that definitely happen. It took a while for my rash to disappear, a couple of weeks I think. I basically hid because I was red from head to toe. I hope youre feeling alright even though you have a rash. I hope yours clears up quickly. Wink

The rash is almost gone!! Flares up when I am hot and my skin is still rough, but otherwise much much better. So I guess I need to be wary of what ever is in augmentin.
Thanks for the replies. I will let everyone know how things go on Tues. after the Dr visit (CT report).

Augmentin is what did it to me! It has penicillin in it. They actually gave it to me twice. The first time I got the rash, the second time my throat swelled shut. Dont ever take it again, okay? You have to be careful about those kinds of things. Im glad your feeling better.
