My fiancey is 25 and the grade is II.She realised her illness just 10 days ago.The stage is very early we understand.

Hi there
I noticed your post attached to this thread & I'm afraid to say but it should be moved to the relative thread "other cancers" or "lymphoma". I will ask the Admin to do this for you. You will hopefully receive support & answere to your questions.
Thinking of you & your Fiance.
Cheers, Angie.

Hi

The type of Hodgkins your fiancee has is common in young females who have lymphoma, and is the most common subtype. Stage 3 is not good it would have been better if it was staged 2 or lower, however the cure rates are over 80% with stage 3 or 4. The treatment your Fiance will get depends on where you live. In the USA it is ABVD and in Europe they use BEACOPP. BEACOPP has about a 10% better cure rate than ABVD but slightly higher risk of secondary cancers, which is why US doctors dont generally use it, it is also more expensive.

Don't panic about this, they are very good at treating Hodgkins and have been for many years now. Your Fiancee should pull through this, she is young and the treatments are successful. I cant tell you what the chemo will be like as I dont have any experience with it, but if your Fiancee can still manage a laugh or two through all this it should be tolerable. If your Fiancee has a rapid response to Chemo she may even not have to have the radiation, but you will need to wait and see on this.

Good luck with the future, don't panic and remember that we are here if you need us at any stage. I hope all goes well
