Okay, So I've been reading and researching quite a bit and I wasn't sure who to turn to. I don't want people to think that I'm just overreacting so I haven't expressed concern to any of my family members. Since December I've been having quite a bit of pain in my ovaries shooting down my leg and into my back. For several years I've had trouble with my period and issues with irregular periods and severe pain. I went to a gyno in January and they found at least 6 cysts on my ovary and it was enlarged to at least twice the normal size. They put me on birth control to help the symptoms. It seemed to have been working but I've recently been experiencing bloating and shortness of breath along with pain in both ovaries. It isn't extreme bloating or anything but enough to cause discomfort almost all the time. Also i'm almost always nauseated.. not extreme but enough to make me feel like i'm sick all of the time. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative and I don't believe there is any possibility of that. I went to the doctor and they said that my lungs were fine but i've been sick and tired lately and I can't seem to get energy most of the time. I'm only 19 and in college so I assume that my symptoms could be related to a number of things but my grandma had breast cancer twice. I apologize for the length but I wanted insight from someone who might know if i need to seek more help or if it is even worth checking into. Thank you for your help

I think you need to get back to your gynecologist. If cysts were found in January, the treatment may not be working. Alternatively, it may be that the prescription needs adjustment.

I do think it's worth seeing the doctor again. Be sure to tell him/her everything you've told us.
