My father was diagnosed "on his birthday I might add" that he has a 1.7 x 2.6 cm mass at the pancreatic head consistent with adenocarcinoma. There is no encasement of the gastroduodenal artery or superior mesenteric vessels. No metastatic disease. I am first having trouble trying to determine where is the best facility for him? Secondly, how does this diagnosis sound???? Please help. We live very close to Phila. and have considered Jefferson, Fox and John Hopkins.

Thanks

My brother went to Hershey Medical Center near Harrisburg. Can't vouch for that one or any others, however, as I am not a resident of PA.

bean66,
You have several good cancer centers including the University of Pittsburgh, Fox Chase, and John Hopkins. I'm sure any one of them will be able to provide expert opinion on how to proceed. Good luck,

Thank You RLee. I noticed no mention of Jefferson. We are looking into John Hopkins. I appreciate it.
