Hey there everyone - I hope you are all going ok.
I thought I would send you all a little update to let you know that I had my biopsy last week and am recovering well. While my head feels a little numb, I feel pretty good considering.

The Neuro called today to let me know that it's definitely a Grade II Oligoastrocytoma. So after nearly 4 years of finding this thing I'll finally be able to start treating it. The next steps are to visit the cancer centre here and start some form of treatment although I do think that they may get me to watch and wait a little while longer.

Thanks for letting me share this with you guys. I still have to share a lot of my story which I will do very soon.

Sunnyd, I am happy that you finally know what it is and can begin to think about treatment obtions. Four years is a long time to have to wait for a diagnosis. Have they given you any idea about which options are best for you?

You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello Sunnyd

I am so pleased to hear that you have come through the biopsy procedure & finally know about the "weed" growing in your head! It is good news about the diagnosis (Gr II??) & as Jim said you can now make some informed decisions (along with your medical team) about the type of treatment you will undertake!
