Hey all - I have a question and thought someone here might have a clue. I had a endoscopy 3 months ago. The Dr. told me everything looked fine but there was an erosion of my stomach in a small area. He biopsied it and it was negative. I had been taking a lot of aspirin, just for heart problem prevention. I stopped that as soon as I was told the results. However, for the last 3-4 weeks, I have been having stomach discomfort, especially when I eat. It sometimes gets better upon taking an antacid, but not always....could a tumor develop in a matter if 3 months? And if so, would this be an early stage, or could it already be advanced? I hate to sound ignorant, but I am just concerned....I have a Dr appt. next week, but just thought I'd ask here first. Thanks for the time....Tim

Hi Tim, it is good that you have a doctor's appointment because we cannot diagnose you over the net. Considering your history of stomach problems and aspirin treatment, my guess is that it is an ulcer rather than cancer. However, only a doctor doing an actually physical examination and maybe even an endoscopy can tell you for sure what is causing this pain. Keep us informed.

Thanks Jim, I certainly hope that is the case. I know that Peptic ulcers and Stomcah Cancer share common symptoms. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and to reply...Tim
