Hi,
I had my gastrectomy done in sep 2005. By god's grace i'm in complete remission. But now my Ultrasound and pelvic scan showed a lesion in my right seminal vesicles( adjacent to rectum). My oncologist says it's a cyst( benign) mass so i could ignore. However it causes pain. I have problem when urinating. Occassionally i have scrotal pain, too. My urologist says it could be TB also. Could it be a TB? does a cancer survivor have chances to get TB? I'm worried pls help me. Had anyone underwent the same trauma? |

Fathak,
Interesting situation. I think that it would be unusual to have a recurrence of esophageal cancer in your seminal vesicle. However, if it's really bothering you perhaps your urologist could reconsider about doing something. Talk with him/her again about it. TB meaning tuberculosis? That's unusual too, but diseases do weird things. Could always consider a 2nd opinion. Good luck. _________________ RLee, MD

| Hi Rlee, Thanks for your soothing reply. Yeah by TB I meant Tuberculosis. My Urologist himself sent me in to a general surgeon to have my lesion checked through rectal examination. He said it didn't look like a usual cyst. So he sent me in for colonoscopy to get the sample for biopsy. I'm waiting for the result keeping my fingers crossed. Let me keep ou posted on the same. Thanks for the concern. |

Please give me your advice/ suggestions. thanks in anticipation. |

Fathak, I am so sorry about your metastatic cancer. It sounds like it is having some pretty significant impact on your quality of life. Keep working with your medical team. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. _________________ Jim
