Hi Jamie - sorry you have not received any replies. I have breast cancer, but my twin brother had a malignant brain tumour and his symptoms were distorted vision, dreadful headaches and unable to tolerate fluorescent lights. It took a long time to diagnose him, at first they thought he had glaucoma in his eyes, problems with his sinuses etc. He eventually collapsed at home and that was when he was rushed into hospital where they did a scan and found a huge tumour wrapped around his brain. In our family, where my husband and b-in-law have both worked extensively with radar, they are convinced it was the cellphones he used during many years of him working in the cellular technology phone industry - he seemed to live with a cellphone on his right ear. Of course, the doctors at that time, 10 years ago , would hear none of it, But neither would my brother. He died within a year of diagnosis. I am not trying to frighten you, but if you are experiencing such symptoms you should talk to your parents and have one of them go with you to your primary care physician to get checked out. Ignoring the symptoms will not make it get any better. It could be something quite simple like migraine, which tablets can help keep under control.

I hope Dr. Leo can help shed some professional advice on your problems - he is probably very busy, as this website is voluntary for him, but I am sure he will get back to you soon.

Meantime, take care, and tell your parents or sister? - please!!
Love, Liz.

Hi -
Your symptoms sound very like a classic migraine headache.
Typically, it starts with an "aura" - distorted vision, so that the edges of what you are looking at seem to disappear, and often followed by flashing lights. Then the headache comes on......In some people it can last for an hour, in others for 3 days. Feeling nauseous with it is also very common.I suffered from migraine headaches with these same symptoms for many years.
I would think that this is the more likely explanation of your symptoms, and therefore nothing to worry about....but I would get a doctor's appointment and get it checked out, for your own peace of mind.
Sam

Hello

I agree with the above comment. It does sound like migraines, but still you should seek a physician for evaluation.

regards,
Leo
