Hello,

I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in Mar '07 I have had manyu scans, ultrasounds and such to confirm the diagpnosis.

I have chosen not to follow the "Gold standard" of surgery, radiation and chemo. None of these sound like a viable treatment for cancer to me. I have read much literature both of a holistic nature and of a medical nature and I justr cannot convince myself thet these are beneficial treatments. I know for some... my own mother included they do work. My mother is now 14 yrs NED.

I also have the same disdain for much of the holistic Dr.s I was visiting a clinic in Mexico that claims to be able to heal cancer with IVs and nutritional supplements. I truly feel that the treatments were effective at keeping the cancer under control.. but I do not think they would work to actually kill the cancer. I left this clinic largely because the practioner would not tell me WHAT he was giving me.. He kept sayign it did not matter as long as it worked. I disagreed with that.

Along the way I continued to do more and more research. Laser therapy is the only treatment that makes sense to me. unfortunately, I can only find a few dr.s who practice laser treatments in the world and none of them were in North America.

Finally, I did find a physician in the USA that offeres laser treatments. I am now undergoing this treatment and the results are very positive. I have 2 more treatments to go and am looking forward to having my lesion dead in few days. She says it may take up to 2 years or more to finally dissipate from the body, but at least it will be dead and no longer able to spread.
