I was diagnosed with stage 4 large diffuse B-cell nonhodgkins lymphoma in july of 06. I started EPOCH Chemo in sept of 06. My chemo was given to me 6 days a week, 24 hours a day. all together I had 42 rounds of chemo in less than 6 months. My upperabdomin has began to swell. I stay nauseaous, and hurt a lot. I visited my GP and she ordered some blood work, and a CT Scan. The blood test came back showing that I have elevated enzymes in my pancreas. My question is....Could pancreatitus be a common side effect from all of the chemo? Or Maybe my gall bladder went out of whack and has caused the prob's with my pancreas? Any one ever experience this?

keeka, I am very sorry to hear about your health concerns. After surviving chemo for nhl to have this dark cloud over your head must be overwhelming... or it would be to me.

I know very little about any lymphomas. However, a will try to get you some help by moving your post the the correct forum. Maybe someone there will know the answers to your questions.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Keeka, find out the names of all the drugs that your are taking and then Google them for side affects. The drugs I took have side affects that can appear years later. Right now I'm fighting a cough that just refuses to go away. I believe it started when I caught a cold but my weakened lungs are having difficulty getting over it. Chemo drugs are strong very strong and can damage certain organs and can even cause more cancer. Now thats weird!
