Hello, I am an 18 year old male. I have been having these weird sensations on the back of my head and upper neck. It is not a terrible pain, rather just a on again-off again feeling. Also I am feeling a little pain in the middle of my back. This caused be to go to the emergency room a couple nights ago for the fear of a heart attack. They did an ekg and x-ray of my chest and they said everything was fine. They said it may have been something I ate, or muscle spasms. I am not feeling nausea nor am I having vision problems. It just feels akward. I am thinking it may be something about my sleeping habits. I got to bed at 2am and wake up at 1pm. So I quess my question is when do I need to be cautious and go see a specialist? What signs should I look for? Could anyone who has/had cancer tell me what symptoms they had?

Thanks for your time!

I really don't have much of an Idea- Razz

BUT i do know you should see a Dr now if that is what you are worried about- what will it hurt??

At least the worry will be gone. You'll work out what is wrong, and give you peace of mind.

Good Luck

Thank you for the response. I am begining to think that it is stress. When I dont think about it, it goes away. When I worry, it comes back. If I am still feeling wacky by the end of the week I am going to the Doc.

Thanks

highflyer55, I am sorry about your health concerns. I had brain cancer and my mother died of brain cancer; none of our symptoms where the same. My symptoms were primarily seizure and seizure related. My mother had vision problems. Neither of us experienced any nausea, headaches, dizziness... symptoms often associated with brain cancers.

You are doing the right thing by seeing a doctor. It may not be cancer but what ever it is, it should be treated.

Best wishes.
