Hey, my grandma has been diagnosed with lung cancer for about 1 yr now and it has recently started spreading to other parts. She doesn't want to take chemotherapy because according to her she feels as if she has died everytime she took it. what r some options for her to give her a longer life, minimize pain and somewhat cure it a little. please help soon.

My wife is also taking Chemo and experiences severe general body pain and bone pain after the second day and it lasts for 2, 3, or 4 days. She takes Oxycontin 10 mg and Oxy IR 5 mg to control the pain. The Onocologist has told us she can take 20 mg oxycotin every 12 hrs and the oxy IR, up to 15 mgs every 2 hrs. The key here is to prevent pain, if it starts you chase it to control it. CAUTION, ASK HER ONOCOLOGIST WHAT DOSE SHE CAN TAKE, different meds may work better for her. In addition, this is the hardest to say, She must have the desire to fight, its her battle.
