This has been a trying week but overall the heavy burden of my mom's illness has been lifted off of my back. God blessed her with a new life. A new life to leave all of the bad things behind and focus on the great things ahead.

The recuperation period will be long and I know that sometimes it may be rough but it will not come anywhere near the stress that I went through since July when her health was going downhill at a rapid pace.

This past week has been a week of revelation for me. I am amazed and awed at how God works through other people (surgeons). They are definately blessed with special gifts from God to be able to restore someones health. I give him all the glory!! The nurses were wonderful!!

I also learned who my real friends were. I thank each and everyone of you that took time out of your busy lives to check on my mothers progress....It means so much to me.

The people who have known me and my mother for many, many years are the ones that were the most silent. It hurt me deeply. I felt like they just didn't care and it bothered me.

Anyway, my mother is in great spirits and she is coming along nicely. There is short term memory loss and it could be due to the medications that she is on. I can tell her something about her meds, surgery or procedures and a few hours later I am repeating it all over again. She is still very weak but she is pushing herself. She also has bruises all over her torso, arms and legs. The bruises will heal after some time.

To God be the Glory!! At least I can still say that she is here with us!!
