Hello to you all wonderful and brave people.

I am so scared! My dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer last Friday. I will know the exact type and all the details this Wednesday but from what I can understand it may be a non small cell..we are now waiting for the hystology results of onelymph node that PET scan picked up.
I also now that the cancer is operable and whether he needs a chemo or not depends on the outcome of hystology report on wed. i know its very unlikely but i still hope that the results are negative.

My boyfriend's mother has been at the other hand diagnosed (today!) with breast cancer..more detailed results will also arrive on wed!!

On a bright note i have recently (last year) recovere from thyroid cancer myself...

I am sorry for this incomprehensive post..however it reflect my state of mind at the moment..

God bless you all

Lana,

Your post is perfectly understandable. You're in a state of shock right now and playing the waiting game. I'm sorry that this is happening for your family, especially your Dad.

Try and hang in there until the reports get sorted out and you get the news. Please make sure there is more than one person when the doctor is talking and try to take notes. It's very easy during an emotional time to forget what has been said.

The fact that it is operable is a VERY good sign.

Keep us posted and God bless.

Dear PBJ,

Thank you so so much for your kind reply. I am now on my way out to the church to pray for all our families PBJ and then off to meet my mum and dad *appointment is at 3*.
I am taking on board what you said and going there with a notepad.

Will let you know how it goes.

God bless

Lana from London
