im 13 (male) and i can feel the nodes on the side of my neck behind my ear but they are not swollen but are firm and movable. also in my groin on both sides i can feel them they are like strings going downward like this \ / and i dont think they are enlaraged becuase they are only about 0.3 cm in diameter. the thing i am most worried about is these things that feel like pads of something near the muscles on my neck beside my shoulder on both sides. the thing that is a little reasurring is that i have them on both sides.

im sorry if i make it sound bad but i am worried and i dont mean to disrespect anybody with lymphoma by posting on this board even though i migh not have it.

thank you for any help in advance!

also ( i dont have this but i am wondering) if you can feel the lymph nodes in your back but they are less than 1 cm does it still mean there is something wrong?

0lid0 have you talked to your parents about your concerns? If not, you should probably do that. There are many things that can cause swollen lymph nodes. More often that not, it is NOT cancer put the result of an infection. Sometimes, the person has no other signs of the infection nor any history of infections. But you should talk with your parents and go see a doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Good luck.

I just read on your other topic that you have seen a doctor about the lymph node on your neck and that he said it was nothing. Like I said, a lot of "nothing" things can cause a lymph node to become enlarged. Keep working with your parents and medical team to try to identify the cause and treatment options.

Best wishes.

yes i have talked to my mom about my shoulder things and she says they are just muscles and they are like that because i am tensed up or something. i guess that could be it because i have been under a great deal of stress.

thanks!
