Hi there, iīm new in this forum and i joined because iīm searching for some answers because of some things that are happening to me, or at least i think they are.
Since last November iīm pursuing a diagnosis for Diplopia, which is double vision but so far the exams i have made doesnīt point to anything. First i thought i had Multiple sclerosis but that doesnīt seem to be the case.
I did bloodwork which some things came outside the reference numbers. They are the Neutrophils, the Lymphocytes and the tyroid hormone T3
The Neutrophils came at 49,3% when the reference values are between 50 and 70%
The Lymphocytes came at 41,3% when the normal is between 25 and 40%
The T3 came a little bit low but since itīs T3 it isnīt a problem.
My doctor said that there are people with those values but i feel that having double vision and a blood work that isnīt all normal can mean something right?
I got more worried when yesterday i was checking my left chest and below i noticed that three little Petechiae showed up in one day.
They donīt bleed and look like they are disappearing with the application of Halibut but i got a bit scared and started to check my whole body for Petachiae and iīve found some but i canīt remember if they were there or not.
Then i started to search the internet and learned that Petechiae can be a symptom of Leukemia.
This, toghether with my blood work got me scared. I was already scared with the double vision being MS and sometimes i feel that my balance isnīt right although i donīt go to the floor.
Tomorrow i will go to the dermatologist to see what this can be but first i wanted to find some information about what all this blood work, Petechiae, little lack of balance and double vision can be.
Cheers |

Hi Fab,
I'm sorry about all of this scare for you. I don't know a darn thing about these stats, but I hope the doctors pursue this for you. Make sure you push them to get answers --- we have to be our own advocates these days.
Good luck tomorrow.

Hi pbj11 thanks for your reply.
The dermatologist checked the little red dots i had but they arenīt petechiae but little hematomas.
Iīve showed her the blood work and told her about the values of the Lymphocytes and Neutrofils but she said she had worse values than me but sheīs fine.
I donīt feel bad or anything, or have fever or night sweats or even anemia.
I guess i have Hypochondriasis. |

Hi Fab,
No -- you are simply being careful about your own health. Nothing wrong with that!
Glad things look good for you and I hope you have a sense of relief.
Best wishes,

pbj11 yes iīm now more relieved after this check-up.
I even went to the gym and felt pretty well and lively.
Thanks for your words pbj...iīve read about your husbandīs passing and i cannot express the sadness and anger to read about what happened. Sometimes i ask why does this disease has to exist.
I hope things are getting better for you at this difficult time.
Best regards

Hi Fab,
Thank you so much for your kind words to me. It means a lot when people still reach out to me. I'm getting by, but have to really make an effort to control my "anger" phase of grief right now. Sometimes I read what I wrote about our journey and wonder "Who was that woman?" Life sure has changed.
Good for you to get to the gym! I sure need some exercise -- it's been a long winter!
What does the eye doctor say about your double-vision? I hope you are still pursuing this issue. Sometimes you have to chip away at the problems one at a time.
Good luck,

Well, the eye doctor only made me a routine test and said i needed glasses to read and watch tv/being in front of the computer because i had a little myopia. I had to told him about the diplopia issue and then he sent me to the neurologist.
I made a CT and MRI to my brain which showed nothing. Since i spend alot of time in front of the computer that may well be the cause for double vision. I noticed that if i rested my eyes for a couple of hours away from the computer that my diplopia would only came back some hours later.
At the moment i donīt have diplopia which makes me alot relieved.

Fab,
Oh -- I see. It's funny because I was having blurred vision a lot, but found that it came late at night when I was tired and trying to see the darn computer screen. I was worried because I'm a diabetic, so I had eye-tests done.
I hope you saw an ophthalmologist and not just an optometrist for your eye exam. There is a big difference between the two, although I went to the optometrist, because I knew they would see the characteristic problems for diabetics without going further like an ophthalmologist would.
Sounds like things are all-in-all being handled for you. Good!
Best wishes,
