my guy just finished his first treatment with IL-2 for mestastic melanoma. the pain in his side has returned (one of the tumor sites). does anyone know if that means the first dose was not at all effective?

my husband is going in for treatment he is having his first does tomarrow please reply i am very scared Crying or Very sad

Wow, your message brings me back to that time. Everyone's treatment with IL-2 is different. To watch him go through it, was so hard. The side effects are pretty brutal. I know all about your fear and helplessness. We had no success from the IL-2, but as i said, everyone's body is different. I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I don't know why this guy is still alive, honestly. but he is. The doctors gave him 4 weeks to live over 6 months ago, so you get up every day and you look to the next and live as much as you can. Our faith in the Lord is the only thing we can count on for certain. So when I say I pray for you, I truly mean it.
