Hey everyone,

Has anyone out there taken the 5fu replacement pill called Xyeloda?
Just wondering what I might expect in the way of side effects.

I finally talked my doctor into letting me get these chemo pills for my last week of radiation. They took me off the chemo pack because my port got an infection, so that has been removed.

ALso - just wondering - is there anyone else out there on the combo of chemo and radiation who had their treatment schedule interrupted? I have only had 14 days of chemo with the radiation ( I was supposed to have all six weeks of both). SO - if the pills arrived for Friday as I am hoping - that will give me next week on them too.

Thanks gang
Is anyone else watching this great program on cancer on PBS this evening?

see ya - DulcimerGal

i was told the xeloda pill is the same as the 5fu pouch except of course in pill form.

i started watching the program online, for anyone that missed it on tv, you can go to pbs' website and watch it there.

good luck with your resection, you are very lucky to have this procedure. keep us posted!
