I met with surgeon today and they have decided to cancel radical hysterectomy that i had scheduled for May 20th and now I am going to have chemoradiation for treatment. This is based on MRI results from April 22nd. I am not too happy about this news 3 weeks after the MRI. The Surgeon felt that they could not get enough clear tissue around the tumor - and this is best method of treatment. should start in about 2 weeks. I have completley lost my patience with our health care system!
Does anyone have any experience with chemo radiation? thks - sherry

Sounds liek you've made the best decision, for you. When do you start? How's things going?

Like all and any Cancer, most grow and change so quickly. Mine in a matter of 2 weeks had changed from 3mm in diameter to 4cm. Which was radical- though they say Cervical cancer can be quick. If you haven't moved onto your Chemo and radio- Find someone who can do it- Now.

How's it all going?

I had a PET scan wedensday and got radiation tattoos on Tuesday - I meet with chemo doctor next wednesday - hope to start radiation week of June 2nd. I worry with every day that goes by - I want to get treatment started now!!! I am started to really get discouraged with the delays - i do have good oncologist radiologist who is in charge of me now. She seems to have things moving for me. thanks for your reply!

If you could do a little information as things go- how you feel, symptoms etc. that would be great for others looking at radio.
