Hi Guys,

I lost my Mum last November from pancreatic cancer, and am terrifed that in the long run it will take me the same way. When I asked at the doctors about testing they said I was too young.. (am 20) Is there tests that can be done to look for pancreatic and liver cancer? And do you need to be of a certain age in order to get tested?

Hi Rhia, I'm sorry about your concern for this awful Cancer. Also for the loss of your Mum.

I'm not so sure about the test you'll need, though I'm sure if you made enough noise about it they'll do it, Just be prepared for the cost.

There is alot of things you can do to prevent/ help prevent This Cancer. By eatign right, following exercise and living a healthy lifestyle. (find all these tips, advice and help in the Cancer Prevention Thread; Nutritional Suggestions; Cancer News.

Or try a post in the pancreatic cancer Thread for adice int hat area. Sory not much help I know.

All I can say is try to relax and not wait for it to happen. Enjoy life, keep check ups and healthy and live life. (stress is a huge factor).
