I don't know where to post this sign and symptons question. I hope someone here can guide. My brother is terminally ill with liver cancer and for the past week his scrotum has been swelling. What could this be from? He is urinating 2 times a day with stools 1 time a day. He has no pain when urinating or with passing stools. He has had some blood in his stools for some months now which he has always said was from hymroids (sorry spelling) and the blood is not there with every stool. Thanks in adavnce for any information. Sorry to be graphic.

Could it be a hernia? is just a guess but my dad had an hernia which inflamated his scrotum a couple of years ago. Have him checked.

Sorry I have not checked back. We were told it was circulation starting to shut down but then the doctor said that he has so much fluid in his stomach that it is going to the only place it can. Thank you. I had never heard of this type of side effect. Will post more later. He is not doing good. No pain just new side effects and sleeping.

Sometimes Dr pull out the fluid that is accumulating. My dad at the later stages developed fluid build up, in his case it was the legs, he never developed ascites in the abdomen as some have described.. Also with the fluid retention that could mean that maybe his kidneys are the ones not working properly along with the liver (2 times a day pee sounds a little to me), that builds up toxins and anmonia which makes him sleepy all the time. My dad since he diddn't have to much build up he was not sleepy until the very end, like one or two days before passing away.

I hope and pray for you, your family and specially your brother.
