I did the best thing I could ever do

I have been on this board before about a uterine cancer scare a couple of years ago. I had a full hysterectomy but it turned out to not be cancerous. I know how utterly terrifying it is to be told you have cancer and I never want to go through that again.

On Monday, August 24th, 2009, I quit smoking.

I got a prescription for Chantix and it's been unbelievable how well it worked. I had sleeplessness and nausea for a little over a week but that went away. It was almost effortless to quit. By my quit date I was not smoking much but I did have to make the conscious decision to not smoke. It wasn't imperitive. It wasn't an urge I had to fight.

I have been happier and felt better than I have in a long time just in these last 4 days. I can BREATHE DEEP and not cough. I take a walk at work when I have a strong urge and I breathe as deep as I can. It really is wonderful.

Oh... and I just had my yearly mammogram and all is OK.

    Congratulations on quitting smoking!

my future mother in law had been smoking for over 35 years. She used Chantix too to quit smoking and now she has been cigarette free for 1 year! She said that the main thing is that you need to be ready to quit. Now, if I can only get my fiance to do the same thing....

The rise in cancer rates and all degenerative diseases have risen right along with the rise in polllution on the planet. Although thousands of plants and animal species are becoming extinct due to this polution, for some reason humans have believed that we are exempt.

I believe that getting the toxins out and the nutrients in is imperative if we are to end the rise in all degenerative diseases, including cancer. Best to do it before disease sets in, of course, rather than after, as once you are fighting off disease your body has already begun degenerating and bringing it back to normal becomes more challenging.

Several years ago I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma due to a mole-like lesion that was growing on my face. I decided to investigate what caused it. The popular belief is that these kinds of skin cancers are caused by sunlight, yet all the sunscreens we are using are causing all kinds of other problems, including osteoporosis and cancer due to lack of vitamin D. In addition, skin caner has continued to rise. Sunscreen hasn't even put a dent in it.

In my research as to the reason why I might have gotten this cancer, I discovered that there are many heavy metals that cause cancer. The one in particular that causes skin cancer is arsenic. After I did a hair analysis, I was appauled to discover that I had high levels of arsenic in my body. Each heavy metal is stored in different organs. For example, mercury and alluminum are stored in the brain and is a leading cause of Alzheimer's disease. Lead is stored in the bone and is a cause of osteoporosis. Arsenic happens to be stored in the skin and is a cause of skin cancer.

After I found out about the connection I did a lot of research to figure out how to remove the heavy metals from my body. I not only had a lot of arsenic, but also a lot of alluminum and cadmium, as well as smaller amounts of all the metals. I did not know where I got so much heavy metal as I've always lived a faily clean lifestyle, so I researched that too.

I was horrified by what I found. Heavy metals are in everything. Because they are in insecticides, they are in the non-organic food we eat. In particular, arsenic is also in cotton clothing that continuously rubs against our skin because the cotton plant is sprayed with insecticides that have arsenic in it. Heavy metals are also in body products, lotions, make-up, cat litter, vaccines, amalgams, many over-the-counter and pharmaceutical medicines, etc.,

Heavy metals are also in the air we breathe due to manufacturing processes that release it into the atmosphere. Since I love walking, I was horrified to discover how much of it is in car exhaust and on our city streets. If you do not remove your shoes before reentering your house after taking a walk, you will track them into your home.

Anyway, I could go on and on. If you are interested in finding out more I have written an informational website on detoxification and rejuvenation called LiveLongerCleanse that explains where the metals are found and how to get them out.

Since heavy metals can't be metabolized, once they are in they never go away. Rather, they accumulate over a lifetime, which is why cancer and other degenerative diseases used to be a problem of old age. However, there are now 250 chemicals found in the cord blood of new born infants. It has also been discovered that an unborn fetus takes on 75% of its mother's toxic load before birth. Because our planet is polluted, each generation is now being born more toxic than the one before. This explains why cancer is now the number one killer of children and why some infants are actually born with it.

It does not take a rocket scientist to see the correlation between the rise in degenerative disease and polution and to figure out what to do about it. Though we can do nothing about government policies that allow this kind of genoside to continue, we can take steps to protect ourselves. It takes both time, effort, and know how, but your efforts will be rewarded with better health and a life worth living.
