    Pimple on my nose

    Hi!

I noticed pimple on my right side of nose that is about 3 weeks now and won't go away. It's not changing color, or shape and it don't bleed. I red about basal cell carcinoma so if someone can tell from my picture what is it? Can it be a cyst or ingrown hair?
    I'm male, 25 years old.

Thomas, I am sorry about your health concerns. It is impossible for any one here to make a diagnosis and to venture a guess or opinion would be dangerous. If we say that it looks like cancer, we might just be causing you unnecessary worries. If we say that it does not look like cancer, you might not seek an opinion from someone who IS qualified to diagnose. That is exactly what you should do: Go see your doctor/dermatologist.

    Good luck.

Thomas, Jim is right ..... We don't have any M.D. Dermatologist on the forum who can give a professional diagnosis....and they wouldn't give one anyway without seeing you literally up front, close and personal mano-a-mano....and then, if they had a doubt, they would want to biopsy it to be sure....

You're probably too young for basal cell skin cancer.... but not too young for melanoma ... and melanoma only follows the classic ABCDs in less than 40% of all melanoma cases (and mine didn't either)...

A good rule of thumb..... if you develop something on your skin that doesn't clear up on its own in two weeks, it is a good idea to see a derm .... This could be a boil, a cyst, a blocked pore... a staph infection ... or something far worse....

Aloha, Haole Boy, Stage IIA Melanoma
