I am sorry to read about his diagnosis and the pain he is in.
No one, not even the Onc can answer your question though there are signs that death is coming that is pretty common to most.
I do not have site saved for that but you will be able to find the info with google.
Doctors told my step brother he had 6 months to live and he survived another 11 years.
Don't we all wish that we had a crystal ball, eh?
Spend the time not wondering how long he may have but take each day as one to cherish. Spend time together, tell him how much you love him.
When the time comes tell him you will miss him, love him and that you will be ok.
My heart goes out to you.

Maeh,
I just started to read a wonderful little book, Final Gifts. By way of recommendation from someone who lost their father to cancer. It is really helping me through this difficult time and explains so much. I feel for your pain. I picked it up for a song on Amazon and it has brought some peace to me (and hopefully my family) during this difficult time.
