    Ciialis After Robotic Prostatectomy

I was talking to a friend this morning who's urologist prescribed Cialis after his prostatectomy (robotic). My surgeon has not mentioned this to me. My friend says that his doc told him the Cialis played a major role in helping to regenerate nerve function in the area by increasing blood flow. Are any here taking Cialis as part of your post surgery treatment? My friend says he will stay on the drug for 2 years.

67 Years old. Diagnosed with prostate cancer on 4/11/2011. 12 samples were taken at biopsy and 3 were positive (one 60%, one 40% and one 21%) and one borderline (PIN). Gleason score of 6. DRE normal. PSA 4.58.
Robotic Prostatectomy 9/22/2011. All negative margins. No lymph node or kidney involvement. Cancer appears to have been contained in prostate capsule. Still Gleason 6 post-surgery. PSA 12/19/2011 < 0.1.

I don't think there is any PROOF it does anything...But impotence is a major problem after prostate surgery so the surgeons use all the tools at their disposal to try and mitigate that or cover it up..All most guys get is a headache....
PSA at age 55: 3.5, DRE negative.
    65: 8.5, DRE " normal", biopsy, 12 core, negative...
66 9.0 DRE "normal", BPH, (Proscar)
67 4.5 DRE "normal" second biopsy, negative.
    67.5 5.6, DRE "normal" U-doc worried..
    age 68, 7.0, third biopsy (June 2010) positive for cancer in 4 cores, 2 cores Gleason 6, one core Gleason 7. one core Gleason 9. RALP on Sept. 3, 2010, Positive margin, post-op PSA. 0.9, SRT , HT. Feb.2011 PSA <0.1 Oct 2011 <0.1 Feb 2012 <0.01 Sept 2012 0.8 June 2013 1.1, Casodex added, PSA 0.04 10/2013. PSA 0.32 1/14. On 6/14 PSA 0.4, "T"-5.

My friend asked his doc about the purpose of the Cialis aside from "recreational" function (sex), and the doc said it helped in the healing process by causing more blood to flow to the area. That was my original question...not RE sexual function. Actually, I have Peyronie's which causes painful erections, so I really don't care if I never have another erection unless they come up with a cure for Peyronie's, which is unlikely in my lifetime.

My surgeon prescribed 90 days supply of 5 mg Cialis to be taken one a day right after surgery. It was covered by insurance.

I been buying from alldaychemist, the pills works great. My insurance would only cover 4 cialis per month, not nearly enough for the treatment I was ordered by the Doctor, 1/4 pill for 4 days 1 full every 5th day. I hope the insurance guys dick goes limp so he finds out that his been an asshole...

I don't know what works or not. My doctor prescribed 1/2 pill Cialis every other day. I am three weeks out of DaVinci surgery and old Willy woke up almost pre-surgery status. Maybe Cialis helped, but I believe more in the surgeon skills (I have been continent since catheter removal). In either case, still on Cialis.
