    Good News...PSA < 0.1

Dr. office just called with the results of my 3 month post surgery PSA check (actually it was 10 days short of 3 months) and the results were < 0.1, which I was told is good news.
67 Years old. Diagnosed with prostate cancer on 4/11/2011. 12 samples were taken at biopsy and 3 were positive (one 60%, one 40% and one 21%) and one borderline (PIN). Gleason score of 6. DRE normal. PSA 4.58.
Robotic Prostatectomy 9/22/2011. All negative margins. No lymph node or kidney involvement. Cancer appears to have been contained in prostate capsule. Still Gleason 6 post-surgery. PSA 12/19/2011 < 0.1.

Congratulations. Please keep us informed on your progress. How's everything working? I'm still trying to decide which treatment to use and interested in everything I can read about what it's like.

That's the number you want to hear! Hopefully you'll get a lifetime of them.

Continence pretty much restored...ocassionally use 1 pad a day but not for long. Bladder function came back slowly starting around Nov. 8 and has steadily improved. Strong stream now and no start/stop, etc.
No erections yet. Like Willie Nelson, I may have outlived my d*#k. I couldn't advise one on what treatment to choose, but for me I think the RRP was the correct choice.
