My wife is part way through chemo for Stage IV colon cancer. had presented in liver and some lymph nodes as part of initial diagnosis. her CT scan now shows nodules in the lungs. her oncologist if having the scans read by a second radiologist next week. I just read on a medical web site that chemo may bring on lung metastases. I plan to discuss with oncologist but wondered if anyone here had experience or knowledge of this.
Really sorry to hear of your good ladies problem.
I can't comment on whether chemo triggers metastasis to the lungs.
I have nodules on the lungs but they have been diagnosed as calcium formations and non cancerous (I hope).
I hope your wife gets the same diagnosis from the second opinion.
Wishing you both the very best

Do what I love doing, when I can until I can't.
Husband also has lung nodules which have been diagnosed as cancer. No biopsies have been done so not 100% sure but oncologist and radiologists think it is the spread of the colon cancer. No one has mentioned anything regarding chemo causing these nodules. Interesting though. I am going to do a little research on it. Seems colon cancer spreads to the liver and lungs before heading elsewhere.
peter- to my knoweledge -blood clots are easily identified and it would be a rarety if they were mistaken for cancer nodules.
The have been finding clots this way for quite some time . If they were suspicious of a spot they werent sure of -they would definately have further testing.,otherwise they will attemot to dissolve the clot. hope this helps a bit
