My Friend has Advanced Stage Lung Cancer and can't walk
My friend has advanced stage IV Lung cancer and can't walk.
A month ago, she was fine and could travel, drive, jog.
Now, she can't walk.
She has lung cancer that has spread to the liver and bone.
She's taking chemo-therapy and has had radiation treatment to the hip area where she can't walk.
My question is this: Will she ever be able to walk again?
Has anyone had a loved one in this condition walk again?
I am very sorry about your friend's advanced lung cancer. I do not know if she will ever walk again. I do not know how damaged her bones are or how they will respond to the radiation treatment.
What specific type of lung cancer does your friend have? In general, lung cancers are divided into two groups: Small Cell and Non Small Cell Lung Cancers. Each of these is further divided based on the specific cell types that are growing out of control. It is important to know this cell type in order to help you understand what is going on and what to expect next.
You and your friend are in my thoughts and prayers.
I think she has adno carcenoma?
She's currently taking Tarceva and has received radiation treatment for her hip.
It's just amazing how last month she was able to go everywhere, travel, etc. and now she can barely stand up.
I read so often that people with lung cancer (Peter Jennings, etc) can at least do their everyday routines even up to the point of death.
Thanks for your prayers.
Am also praying that everyone on this board will find healing and peace.
