    ?Melanoma between toes

Hi, I'm new to this forum, three days ago while I was sitting outside playing with my children, I noticed a large freckle/mole in between my 4th and 5th toe on the webbing. The next day I went to the doctors who couldn't give me an answer and I have a appointment with a dermatologist next week.

My question anyone out there with a melanoma between there toes. I am really anxious and scared I have two young children and a husband that really isn't that supportive. Also my mum died young (42) of breast cancer and I have a phobia of dying young like her.

The mole is quite large taking up all the skin on the webbing and its itchy and sore. Look forward to hearing from anyone.

Also I how have hip pain on the same side to I'm scared that it also already metatasised to there.

polly55, I am very sorry about your health concerns. Melanomas can occur on any area of the derma. You have already take the first and best steps to find out what this "thing" is.

You probably should be doing breast self examination once a month if not more often if you are not already doing so. Have you had a baseline mammogram? I do not know how old you are, but with a family history of breast cancer and if you are older than 30, you should probably ask for one. In future mammograms, it will give your medical team something to look at to see if there are any changes.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
