I am a 33 yr old male. I am a smoker, have been for about ten years. I know that smoking only causes problems. I plan on quitting soon. I have been speaking to my doctor about it.
My problem is this: 1.5 yrs ago I started having what I feel is cramping or tightness in my throat along with mild rawness. I got very concerned and went to the doctor. He put me on antibiotics, to no-avail. I then went to the ENT and he did a scope and said I was clean. For good measure, he did a CT scan and it too was negative. Great news, right? Well the symptoms went away for about a year but have returned last month. Only this time, I have new symptoms in addition to the original. I now have swelling in my neck, neck pain, ear aches, headaches, nose sores, dry nostrals, dizziness, jaw pain and the original symptoms are worse this time. Can anyone tell me if these are symptoms of a type of throat cancer or neck/head cancer? I don't want to sound like a worrier, but I am. Please help me, please! I am consumed by the thought of this. I am also scared of what the doctor might say. I am very reluctant to go to the doctor at this point. Especially without having some sort of preparedness of his diagnosis. Please, please give me your opinion, anyone!
Eric
