    Two-year anniversary.

My wife's cancer was first discovered two years ago today. Diagnosis came two weeks later.

Still going strong. Still doing well.

    That is all.
My wife was diagnosed with grade II Oligodendroglioma in November, 2009 at age 49. Started Temodar in January 2010. Stopped Temodar June 2011. Recurrence confirmed July 2013. Temodar again from April 2014 to March 2015. Recurrence in April 2015. Radiation May-June 2015. Recurrence January 2016. Tumor is bi-lateral and multi-focal.

Partial resection in Feb. 2016. Confirmed progression to oligo 3.

May 2016 diagnosed with breast cancer. Lumpectomy June 2016. No further treatment recommended for breast cancer, due to priority of brain cancer treatment.

Emergency resection July 2016. Started dex.

    Started Avastin August 2016.

Great news! It's good to hear some good stuff, seems to be a lot of setbacks lately. As for my husbands, MRI on Thursday shows nothing except for a little immflamation. Although that sounds great and it is, the noise is there of how long can this keep it away. Right now you just enjoy this peaceful part of the ride.

Good to hear some encouraging news
At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don't keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That's how we're made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them. (Author unknown)

That's a great reason for celebration. I'm getting close to four years since my diagnosis. I'm very thankful. I had an MRI last week, and was told that it looked great, even compared to an MRI I had two years ago. Congratulations to your wife, and keep fighting hard.

    Great news.
My wife is having MRI tomorrow in John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle after 5 years (surgery only) for same type of glioma.
All the original data was doom and gloom, but it shows that long term survival is achievable.
